The National Museum to stay in Królikarnia
„It is a brave and important judgment” – said Marcin Nosiński for the Warsaw edition of the „Gazeta Wyborcza” daily, commenting on the judgment of the Regional Court in Warsaw concerning the Królikarnia Palace which houses a branch of the National Museum. Attorneys Marcin Nosiński and Marcin Włodarski, Ph.D., represent the National Museum in the matter.
The heirs of the former owners of Królikarnia have been prevented from evicting the National Museum from the palace. The Court found that this would be a violation of the principles of social coexistence.
- The judgment eliminates all threat for the National Museum, meaning that the branch may remain in Królikarnia – Attorney Nosiński explains. – I understand the Krasiński family, but we must remember that after the War the Królikarnia Palace was rebuilt and subsequently maintained from public funds. I spoke about before the court. The court found that the activities of the heirs are contrary to the principles of social coexistence. It is a very important and courageous judgment, the- lawyer added.
